Aquafina and the First Lady Ask Americans to 'Drink Up'

Aquafina joined America’s First Lady Michelle Obama and the Partnership for a Healthier America today, Sept. 12, to support the new “Drink Up” water initiative designed to encourage Americans to stay hydrated by drinking more water.

As the official water of the National Football League and Major League Baseball, Aquafina plans to leverage its strong relationships with premier sports properties to further encourage U.S. water consumption. The brand is also exploring on-pack promotion and social media support to drive further awareness of the campaign.

Mrs. Obama said in a White House statement, "Drink just one more glass of water a day and you can make a real difference for your health, your energy and the way you feel. So 'drink up' and see for yourself."

Well-positioned to support this initiative, Aquafina recently won the Women’s Choice Award for America’s Best Bottled Water and is the bottled water brand consumed most among U.S. teens according to the 2013 TRU Study. Furthermore, PepsiCo has long been committed to growing its diverse portfolio of food and beverage brands worldwide and providing options for consumers looking for balanced choices.
